Only took 4 months!
Finally organized Remi’s 1st birthday party photo album.
The boys were so excited to have a new photo album to read today. I’m pretty sure they both read it a million times already!
Xander is really big on doing things himself now. Especially when it comes to letting the dog outside. And he’s big enough to open the sliding glass door on his own.
Since Xander’s not home today, Remi feels he must step in and take charge on all the things his big brother usually takes care of.
This was his attempt at letting the dog outside. He really tried! :)
This just happened!
The BIL came over. Checked out the dishwasher. Fixed it.
Now round three will consist of me loading said fixed dishwasher and running into the playroom to hang out with little mister!
Saw this and realized he’s getting too big!
But at the same time realized how little he still is.
Too big for size 12mo but still to small to fit into 18mo.
Did I mention we’re teething?

Xander and the hubs left a little while ago to pick up grandpa and head to the basketball game.
Remi’s down for his morning nap.
I fixed myself a nice sandwich.
I want to get started with the felt playhouse craft idea that we got 10 yards of felt for this week…
But there is a kitchen full of dishes from dinner and game night last night that should be dealt with before the boys get...
The kids are fed, I’ve had my coffee, hubs is still sleeping - time to play!
I love Saturdays!
Luckily, I don’t have to share the bathroom with either of my supervisors at work.
Sadly, this was in reference to the hubs - and it happens way more often than it should! :)

Need to make sure he’s got a good breakfast in him first - it’s going to be a busy day for this guy!
He clogged the toilet and used the last of the toilet paper…
Is it really that difficult?
There was this tunnel to crawl through in order to get to the small slide. Took Xander a minute, but once he got through the first time we couldn’t stop him from doing it over and over and over and over again!
Watching his big brother going back and forth from the steps through the tunnel and down the slide, Remi decided to give it a try!
We went to the park tonight.
I think they liked the swings!

We’ve been having a few issues with Xander at bedtime for the last month or so. It all started when he got sick. We thought it was because he didn’t feel good, and we felt sorry for him and cuddled and co-slept to get him to calm down.

Boy how I wish it were Friday! I need a weekend so very badly. I need a break from work. From it’s stresses, it’s worries, it’s chaos. I didn’t sleep much last night. Way too much to think about to be able to actually sleep. I went to bed. I watched some TV. I had to force myself to roll over and close my eyes. But I don’t feel like I slept at all.

Ok, so all of a sudden tonight I got the urge to build a fort.
I’m a complete loser when it comes to building forts, I soon found out. But the kids LOVED it. It as small and hot and the roof kept collapsing, but they loved every single minute of it!
But it gave me some really good ideas on improvements for the next time.
Just need to stop by the fabric store on my way home from work...
Just emailed my resume…now my stomach is turning. It so exciting and scary all at the same time.
Got to turn my thoughs to the present for now. I have a busy day ahead of me and need to focus on what’s going on now. Will dream of tomorrow after the work day ends.

I know I shouldn’t, but I am beginning to count my chickens, and the eggs haven’t been laid yet.
It’s been a few weeks of hell at work, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping for a while. I’ve been sending out my resume for months now with no response. I know that I don’t have the years of experience most require for what I do, so on paper, it really hard...
What a long day.
At work by 6am, planned on leaving by lunch, ended up working straight through until 2pm. I had had enough by that point and called it a day. I had missed waking up with Xander, cuddling with cartoons and covers, breakfast with Remi and playtime and lunch! I just hope I don’t have to spend any more Saturdays stuck in my office.
Today wasn’t all bad. I came home...
Remi is 16 months. He’s a ball of emotions at this age. He’s happy, he’s sad, he frustrated, he’s melancholy. He’s totally animated, and totally like how I was described as a child.
And his favorite thing to do (other than climb on and dive off things) is to follow around his big brother. Its adorable how they are with each other!
Boy would I love to, but sadly I am a sucker and will do as I’m told.
At least until something better comes along.

Am I a terrible mom if I really, really want to take a video of Xander getting undressed by himself? Seriously, it’s the cutest, funniest, most inventive thing I’ve seen in a while!
I love that he’s so independent lately. He is getting better every day on dressing himself, and undressing himself. He’s growing up so fast.

Today, however, he decided he didn’t want to use the potty so it was back to pull ups, but he didn’t have any accidents.
